This past President’s Day I went camping with my parents at the Caney Lakes Recreation Area. It is in the Norther portion of the Kisatchie National Forest north of Minden, Louisiana. A nice local get away spot, the area is comprised of two man-made lakes formed by dams. It provides fishing, boating, and camping recreations. I decided to take a couple of cameras with me and shoot a few rolls of film. Three of the rolls were Fujifilm 200 and Superia Xtra 400 and that’s what you see below.

The fourth roll of film was a roll of Kodak Ektachrome E100 slide film. This film stock is easily my favorite thing to shoot. I love its fine grain and the colors. I also especially like that it is reversal film and I get a transparency that I can project onto a screen. The slides that I shot at the lakes follow:
